The Onyx Lives! Project

Welcome to Onyx Lives! This fan-driven project continues the L5R CCG from where it originally ended at the cusp of Onyx edition, a product which was never released. Our project, led by members of the original L5R design and rules teams, aims to see the work members of our team spent over a year creating finally come to light.

While Onyx existed for many years in the ether of the internet as half-finished PDFs, and the game was continued by dedicated people through digital formats, many of us longed to see Onyx done 'properly', and we set ourselves to the task of finishing what we had started. 

This is a 100% free project. We solicit no donations, and seek to make no profits from this venture. This fan project uses art assets and icons from the original CCG run of L5R, all of which are owned by Asmodee, the current holder of the L5R IP. Our fervent desire is to continue to support and grow this game and the setting that has been an integral part of many of our lives for decades. We will continue to connect with the community that lies at the heart of its success and survival.
